So it's raining despite it being really sunny outside, tropical rain my friend said. The thing about living in California is that it's insanely cold in the mornings (during winter, of course) but later on in the afternoon it'll be a bazillion degrees and the sweater I foolishly put on ends up getting drenched in sweat. Why am I still so sweaty during the winter?
I just came back from running slips. I work in the school office (student service) and my main job is to drop off summon slips, but because of the drizzle they got a bit drenched and crumpled so it was kind of awkward handing wadded up green slips to teachers who are already bothered by the presence. Like, "hello (definitely interrupting instruction time), wanna take this slip thats covered in rain water and looks like a shoddy attempt at origami?" I still really like student service though, walking around listening to music for an entire period is way better than being in a poorly ventilated art class pretending I know what I'm doing. For context, I was in AP Studio Art beforehand, but I dropped out because arts and academics don't mesh well with me.
I'm wearing a blue Adidas jacket so I accidentally channelled my inner LG, maybe my PIECE OF SHIT SHAG HAIR came in clutch for this. Yes, my hair still sucks. I'm trying to grow it out cause I'm now realizing overtly short hair doesn't suit me as much as my mom would like it to. I'm getting hair powder today? tomorrow? I don't remember. But, I'm getting powder and if it doesn't work I'm just gonna rip my hair follicles out.
I think I'm just gonna skip 5th period, for my sanity of course. (And also so I'll have more time to prep for the application.)
I'm glad I washed my hair yesterday cause apparently during Lunar New Years it's bad luck to wash it, I also heard I'm not supposed to wear black & should wear navy blue, white, and gold given the fact I was born in the year of the rat. Hopefully whatever Lunar New Year deity watching me forgives me for wearing black pants & focuses on the overabundance of white and navy blue I'm wearing. Also, apparently it's a clash year for me (year of rat). Nothing inherently negative predicted, just "fast-paced" and a "change of routine", which I welcome wholeheartedly. Please just get me out of this routine.
